Jack Bennett has the wisdom of an experienced executive and the dynamic energy of a young entrepreneur. He started in the insurance business in 1992. In 2002, he co-founded Bennett & Porter in Scottsdale, Arizona – helping families to structure their wealth and protect it for future generations. Bennett’s education and experience in several disciplines provide perspective, insight, and strategic financial and insurance advice to help clients meet their goals.
Senior Vice President Wealth Management, Founding Partner
Scott Porter oversees the wealth management division. He has labored in the financial planning profession since 2002. Shortly after obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Utah Valley University, he earned his Certified Financial Planner designation in 2005. With strong financial and insurance acumen, Porter joined Bennett & Porter as a partner in 2006 to head up the company’s Wealth Management division. Business escalated under his watch, with Wealth Management business conservatively growing 30-40% every year.
Porter lectures on various financial topics, is a frequent featured speaker at various financial conferences, and presents on financial advisor panels discussing numerous investment matters.

Vice President Employee Benefits
Gregg Murset heads our employee benefits division. For over 20 years, he has been in the insurance and financial services business. Murset graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in finance. In 2014, he was named Chairman of 2014 “Smart Money Week” for Arizona, and National Financial Educators Council Financial Education Instructor of the Year. Murset started BusyKid.com, formerly MyJobChart.com, helping parents teach kids how to develop a work ethic and make smart financial decisions.

Chief Operating Officer
Overseeing all the operations of Bennett & Porter, Jeremy Smith is the behind-the-scenes backbone of our business. From licensing and contracting to technology and staffing, and even process design, everything that happens at Bennett & Porter has been touched by Smith and his team in some way.
With a dual degree in International Management and Mandarin Chinese, Smith began his career with Bennett & Porter in 2002 as an insurance agent. His logic and drive, combined with his ability to learn anything and do anything made him the perfect fit for managing operations—a role he has excelled in since 2004.
Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer
Michael Gallaugher is a fourth generation Arizona native. He graduated from Arizona State University in 1999 with a B.S. in Marketing. Gallaugher has been reinventing grassroots marketing for nearly 20 years in the Valley, and has since built a strong reputation as being a significant player and consultant in the insurance and financial industries.
Gallaugher has resided on the Board for Arizona Mortgage Lenders Association and is currently advising the board on marketing initiatives. He’s on the Care Fund’s Advisory Board. He has since served as Director of Marketing on the Board for the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals and served on the marketing/public relations committee for Arizona’s Asian Real Estate Association of America; and was active on the membership committee for Arizona Multi-Housing Association.
Gallaugher’s dedication has facilitated multiple philanthropic opportunities that have been tied to local charitable foundations: Care Fund, The Prayer Child Foundation, The Ronald McDonald House Charities, St. Vincent de Paul Charity, Salvation Army, among many others charities.
